Your glass may not be the thickness you think it is, which can be troublesome when buying display stands. But you can quickly and easily measure the thickness of your glass with my new Slot Sizer, so that you can order a stand that perfectly fits your glass, holding it securely in place.

Take advantage of this cheap and easy way to measure your glass. Please note that colour combinations are allocated at random. The Slot Sizer is free, price just covers shipping & Store costs.

How to use it

The slot sizer is designed to accurately match slot sizes available with my range of display stands. They can help find the best slot size that matches the thickness of your glass. The slots start at 3mm slot incrementing in 1mm to 10mm. The final slot is 14mm, which is the largest setting on my u-stand.

Simply place your glass fully into the slot at the point you want the stand to hold your glass.

Corner clips: I suggest trying 1-2cm (0.75 inches) in from the corner of the glass. Choose the biggest size that fits snugly.
Discus / Pyramid: Use the sizer on the corner or the bottom edge of your glass will sit in the stand.

Ordering the perfect fit

Now you know the thickness of your glass you can order your stands with confidence. If the size you need is not in the ‘slot width’ drop down list for a particular stand, select custom and add the correct width in the personalisation box.

Factors affecting Thickness of glass

It can be hard to accurately measure the thickness of your glass without specialist equipment (or my slot sizer!). Many variables can alter the thickness of your artworks including resulting glass with uneven thickness.
